Concept Maps are a good idea, especially when thinking of an elementary classroom. As mentioned in a previous blog, children need ideas to be reinforced with pictures because they are still at such a young age. If you would just tell a child what to do or how things link together, they would not understand because children are visual learners. By using a concept map, elementary students will be able to see how ideas link together. I think this is a very good idea for elementary classrooms. Showing concept maps to students will increase their understanding of different ideas!
